The purpose of the American Pit Bull Foundation is to promote responsible breed ownership through providing:
  • owner and public education
  • positive alternatives to pit fighting
  • programs to endorse and recognize responsible breed ownership
  • provide medical and financial assistance for dogs with responsible owners
  • aid in adoption of Pit Bulls to responsible individuals or families

Meet Mama Moo; a rescue from Charlotte Mecklenburg who came to APBF with 5 puppies and a heart full of worms. Moo's Heartworm disease has progressed and radiographs recently revealed how much damage these parasites can cause. Visit the link above to learn more about Heartworm disease and how you can help.

APBF Presents Dr. Sophia Yin, DVM, MS
Join us for a special two-day event with Animal Behaviorist Dr. Sophia Yin.
Saturday, June 16th and Sunday, June 17th, Dr. Yin will be presenting a Behavior Seminar to help owners, rescue workers, trainers, behaviorists, and veterinary staff, better understand canine behavior and better communicate with canine counterparts.
Tackle fear aggression, raise a well-behaved puppy, and learn how to reverse damage that has been done in training.
